[Antennas] Without "traps"

Hi John,

You are overlooking one practical factor. Traps can fail and I
wouldn't want a weak element in my Beam. Accidently hit a "peak" with an
Alpha and goodbye trap if moisture has penetrated! No way would I ever
use an antenna with traps unless on a Desert Island or something like
that for simplicity if running high power. I blew a well known
manufacturer's trap a while back and "he" said I was running too much
power. What a stupid remark! Never again!
The Force 12 antennas are "gorgeous" and a neighbor has one up at
60'. What a beautiful design with its 2 elements on 40 meters! Enough
said.
