There are some commercial verticals you might want to consider. Here are
some I have found interesting for a similar situation
Forces 12 Sigma 40XK 40 thru 10 meters

Force 12 Sigma 5 20 thru 10 meters

Quicksilver HF portable antennas 20 thru 10 meters

Super Antennas portable (vertical?) dipole

The Buddipole - use vertically or horizontally or any other way

There are many other options for 'tuned' portable antennas. A lot of the
mobile antennas can be rigged to work from a motel window/balcony.

Subject: [Antennas] Vacation antenna ?
I'll be travelling often in retirement and would like to operate from
motels. Has anyone had experience operating from motels and have some
suggestions on hf antennas to to use? I've tried arandom wire out the
window using a tuner for 20M, without much success.
Thanks for any info.... 73, Terry, WAITP
