Hi Tim,

I had exactly such BC interference on my desk phone in the shack.

A friend who is a telephone company employee gave me an in-line phone
filter which completely eliminated the problem.

This a rather low power AM BC station located about five miles away.
It caused "break-thru" in a TenTec Pegasus on 160M only.  That problem
was easily eliminated by use of an antenna tuner.
