Sounds like a good choice there Paul.

As long as we're on the topic, here's something else for the group to chew on.

I'm mainly interested in wide coverage on VHF-High Band beyond 2 Meters, but 
UHF would also be nice.

Apart from my recommendation earlier on the Diamond X-50 (I'll have to ask my 
friend about the bandwidth), here's what I'm looking for in my next antenna:

Gain on 2M, although how much depends to some extent on the following.
Ability to operate on the marine and railroad segments, roughly 156.3 to 
157.2 and 160.2 to 161.6
DC Ground a plus
UHF also a plus

Ideally, the bandwidth should accommodate the above, although the areas above 
2M are just for listening of course.

Right now I have an all stainless, heavy duty, solid rod discone at about 75 
feet which meets the bandwidth reqs, but not the gain and DC ground issues.

Would appreciate any ideas,
