Hi all, for what it is worth, and no offense:
I have been using Cushcraft products for many years, some larger ones up
155ft, have visited their facilities in NH, have shared several HAMventions
with them, even in the old days with Bob Cushman.
I have never been let down, their technical support is great. If they came
back with a "NO" to an upgrade question, that is not an issue of customer
support, that is a true answer to a question.
For N6PWW : Your upgrade request is similar to someone who buys a mountain
bike and asks the manufacturer to provide an upgrade kit to convert it to a
motor bike, maybe even for racing.
Some things are not possible, even not possible for a very competent
manufacturer such as Cushcraft.
Visit them at their booth at a HAM Radio exhibition, hang around and just
listen to what other people say, listen to their comments, especially the
users who have questions. You will be surprised about their support and their
customer satisfaction.
I have seen antenna manufacturers come and go, Wilson, KLM, Telrex, etc.,
their support did not even come close to Cushcraft.
Sell your rotatable dipole as "previously owned" and buy a nice Cushcraft 40M
beam and work the world. You'll be surprised what you can hear now!
