That only happens after it's sent. In responding, it brings up the
entire text, allowing you to clip what you want to save, then
highlight and delete the remainder.
It's purely habit. I've gotten nailed myself a couple times in the
last year due to multitasking and being in a hurry, which caused me to
send a response before deleting the excess.
We know that folks will slip from time to time, it happens to all of
us. It's more the members who don't even try that need to apply
themselves. Any number of folks here would be more than happy to
explain the procedure if someone isn't sure how to proceed.
