Well then it is time to "Take back the AM spectrum that we
want to use"! They can go fish with all that "Optimod crap"
I HAVE been listening since I started moving into the new place.
What I've been hearing is a bunch of "Wanna-Bees" trying to
convince the listening audience that their rigs are the only ones
worth listening to. "This STOPS NOW" I am close to turning
on the BC-610E in the garage (To keep the place warm-ish)
The previous owner of the house took the heater after the
closing, even tho the sale was "As Is, Where Is", he refused to
return it!
The BC-610 (I) is in the basement, except for the power supply
and all wired up, again except the power supply.
I am still looking for a sling-shot so I can get my antennas up in the
trees.
Got an end fed long wire running east/west but not even 30 feet off the
ground.
I'll keep ya posted, and I tried the Apache on AM no one heard me.
It works fine, sounds good on the monitor receiver, but!!!!!!
Keep in touch, Oh ya Franky and Mike, may show up they are
sneaky that way if so I will ruthlessly put them to work helping
get the RCA BTA1M out of storage and "HOME", its
just going in the garage, which is going to be the 2nd shack, cause
I can't smoke in the house!!!!!!!!!!!!! Dog-gonit
Jim

yes! indeed, one of the reasons i do not use 75m. But, there are some
who are descent people. 160 used to be a nice place. 40 has some good
guys, but its getting clicky. there are some there who really hate me.
They keep telling me I am too broad and too loud. I am not really
concerned, these are boatanchors, plate modulated AM with
both sidebands...
