Todd and Group:
I agree with your comments on Sniping.........I watched an item I was
bidding on go up in $1 increments 19 separate times! All from the same
bidder!
On the other hand I picked up a nice HO-10 the other day for $56 and placed
the bid (higher) more than 8 hours before. You just can't tell what's going
to happen. I have had my ISP stall in the last few seconds of bidding and I
have lost items that I really wanted and intended to snipe.
I'm sure that the discussion of E-bay grates on some folks but it's become a
part of our hobby, like it or not. I have had some projects that I was able
to cut years off the parts gathering process only because I have access to a
national virtual hamfest.
