I used what look like large fuse clips.  They are also used with power 
resistors.  I think some of them came from the old TV transmitter we 
dismantled in Houston.  I made two circular copper bus strips and in each 
drilled holes spaced like the numbers on a clock.  The 12 glowbars plug 
right in.  Mine have bare ends coated with some silver looking substance, 
except for one, which looks more like gold than silver.  They fit the clips 
perfectly.  I don't have a cage around mine, but I need one, for mechanical 
protection.  I'd hate to break one of the resistors.
