[AMRadio] Building the Dummy Load

I Have some of those clamps but only about 3 or 4, not enough. The
resistors acquired for Electronic Goldmine seem to be the same as yours
the entire piece looks like the inside of a pencil, maybe a little
rougher, with the ends silvered back about 1 inch or so. I though I
would get some of those "screw to close" hose clamps, maybe take a
dremel type wire brush to it to knock the coating of the hose clamp so
it would take solder, or just drill a hole in the slip end of the clamp
for mounting.

I used what look like large fuse clips. They are also used with power
resistors. I think some of them came from the old TV transmitter we
dismantled in Houston. I made two circular copper bus strips and in
each
drilled holes spaced like the numbers on a clock. The 12 glowbars plug
right in. Mine have bare ends coated with some silver looking
substance,
except for one, which looks more like gold than silver. They fit the
clips
perfectly. I don't have a cage around mine, but I need one, for
mechanical
protection. I'd hate to break one of the resistors.
