Dear ARCers:


      One of the many complaints about the Windows 10 installation is that the CPU fan runs too much or is always on.   One solution is to reduce the number of notifications.  After I did this there was a partial reduction in CPU fan usage.  What really stopped the CPU fan noise was installing an updated version of Windows 10 Defender.
