[Alexandria Radio Club Reflector] Looking for a small power supply

Greg,
      In the long run, a decent 20Amp or 25 Amp power supply is a staple in the hobby and not much more expensive then a 7 amp supply.  The switching mode supplies are light and work well.  You might look for an older 20 Amp Astron RS-20.  You should be able to pick one up cheaply at a hamfest.  
      OR you could use a car battery and small cheap battery charger.  Other option is to build a power supply.
