[Alexandria Radio Club Reflector] Washington's Birthday Parade. INFO FOR 21 FEB 2011 - FINAL INFO PACKAGE

All,

            Many of you do NOT want to participate but I never know who is
going to show up.  If you are not planning to participate just hit DELETE.
If your with the Arlington or Mt. Vernon Club, please pass the word.  

 

            Arrive at Fire Training Center  NO LATER THEN 9 AM.

            Depart Fire Training Center by 9:30 AM

            We have (I hope 4 parking spaces for hams at Lyles Crouch
School.  (The school is open so there may be a last minute change)

            School is at Wilkes and Saint Asaph's  (See maps attached.)

            We will locate the club trailer at the HQ position near the
start.

            We will meet with the parade management at 11AM at the HQ
position to provide assignments.

            The Parade Marshals should have their order of march changes
done by 12 and we will provide them to the Trailer as the units start off.

            Please do NOT send changes until your unit is ready to GO.  In
years past we have had late changes and this can cause confusion.  Want ONE
input from EACH Division only.  Better to hand off a marked up copy when you
get your division to the start.

            Only three types of changes

            DROP 

            ADD (provide division number and the number of the unit they
will now be behind with added "A" ex. 510A will be the add after 510)

            MOVED (From "old Div / number" to new DIV unit followed + A

            The parade will start at 1PM and end at or before 3 PM

            After the parade we will go to either Fuddruckers or Pizza Hut
for late lunch (on the club)

            We will use the 146.655 Repeater (PL 141.3).  

            D-Star ops will go directly to Trailer or reviewing stand

            Operators are encouraged to go with the parade marshals to
provide route safety during the parade.
