We will hold the net starting 9am using 144.200 USB, 100w+four yagis,
but I will also monitor local 146.52 FM with 25w+Vertical.
Contest begins at 10am, initially running 144.200 USB. or on 2m FM
Rules: http://www.qsl.net/a/ak-vhf//Contests/ or
http://www.arrl.org/general-rules-for-arrl-contests-above-50-mhz
Four digit Grid-Square is exchanged (no signal report required) for contact.
Assistance is legal so you can self-spot yourself: "calling CQ
Contest on 146.52 FM" as example.
I will be on 50.125/144.200/146.52FM/223.50FM/432.200/927.50FM/1296.100USB/FM
I can operate 6m/2m/222 simultaneously; 432-1296 requires using my IF
Radio used for 2m-SSB and common coax line.
KL7BSC/R will be roving in his mobile station starting near Soldotna
at 10am (see his itinerary):
http://www.qsl.net/ak-vhf/ scroll down to contest announcement for
the pdf link.
Please try to encourage others to participate so Brandon has several
stations to work. The contest is more about getting on and seeing
who you cab contact than being a competition - but with our few
players definitely in your log to ARRL. Brandon will be running APRS
so you can track him.
There are several contest categories - even an ALL FM
category. Check in the Net to find out answers to your questions
before start time (10AM)
