Yes, I got his career and Dickie’s mixed up. Moritz was a cool guy - wish
I had been able to know him longer.
There were so many others, so many stories…. some of which could actually
be told! I’m thinking about the group carrying the big 20M monobander
down an LR street late at night because it seemed like the thing to do. It
worked OK on the deserted highway until some kind of major business had a
shift change :)
Some of you may be tired of these old stories, but ADXA has a rich heritage
of audacious midnight antenna-carryings and other hijinks. Antennas and
rotators were repaired at meetings at ADXA member homes on a “hold my beer”
basis. If the walls of the hospitality rooms at the early meetings could
speak…..
