I use four elevated radials to my center loaded Gladiator 80 meter
vertical, insulated #14 THHN wire laid out on roof. Base of vertical about
17-18 feet on side of garage. Since next to neighbor's lot, radials run
north, south, northeast, southwest. I work anything I hear, running about
700 watts out. Heard and worked EU from West Coast for first time ever
last Winter. Not sure about the theory or anything else. This is what I
could put up on my city lot and works - 5BDXCC the goal and got it in 2000.
Put something up, try it and not worry about anything except if it works
for you in the situation you have. Go for it!
