  Mike, one thing you might want to consider, I forget who all makes this, but Larsen makes
them as well, the so-called "hockey puck" antennas. I saw one on a Missouri Highway Patrol's
captain's car, and it said Larsen on it, so I know they're out there. Drop by your local
professional radio shop (Kenwood or Motorola) and have a look at what they got.
They do resemble hockey pucks. That's about as stealthy as you can get, unless you
get one of the antennas that hide inside an outside mirror, or takes the place of the
car's AM/FM antenna.
