Mike,
That's not much data to work with there but I'll give it a try.
Okay, NO WHIPS or GLASS MOUNTS.
What type of vehicle are you going to mount/install this antenna on?
What materials is it constructed of?
Conductive, nonconductive, plastic, fiberglass, metal, etc?
If it's a modern family type car it may have plastic bumper covers of even
plastic fenders. If so you can apply metallic foil tape under that area of
the vehicle and create an antenna using any of the common antenna designs
described in the antenna section of the Handbook or the Antenna Book. A
simple dipole or an 1/4 wave element using the metallic portion of the car
as its counterpoise would do nicely. This would be STEALTHY.
Of course antenna performance may not be up to that of more conventional
antennas, but this is one of the compromise's you have to accept when you
require the antenna to be STEALTHY. There may be other possibilities as
well.
I hope this helps get you started thinking about what's possible in your
situation. Please let the group here know how you ultimately work it out. It
should be very interesting.
