[50mhz] new to 6 meters...

Ken, hook up the Ringo and get on the air...
Horiz is best for SSB, but when the band opens
you can work it with a wet noodle.
The Ringo will do fine on FM.
Are there any 6mtr repeaters in your area?
A simple horiz dipole will work, or any of the many
horiz. loops out there.
Par makes a nice one, or you might find a Halo at a Hamfest.

I have a Cushcraft halo on AM and a 1/4 GP for FM.
