[50mhz] Rig vs Rig question

Well, I am looking at something I can run mobile and go all mode on most
bands (wish they had 220 allmode in these radios but so much for that ;)
I like the FT100 and the 100D...so are you saying the 857/897 are not as
good or ???? (you said below something in between)...I need something small
to fit in the company van or my Blazer....yet have all the features I need
for home or remote operation....(plus being able to plug it into my remote
base UHF rptr setup is a nice addition too).
