Now a good xband link done properly, I have NO problems with.....pity
that some folks cannot use common sense on the,...
Riley must have found something improper in his operation...otherwise,
a properly run xband link as such is a good thing......
I ran a 440 to 10mtr SSB remote back in the 80s (using my RC850 and a
converted CB!! Had freq selection on it..including RIT using the rotor
control off the 850 thru a D->A convertor to shift +/-5 kHz..)
I also have run a 220 rptr (its here at the house) with a HF & 6mtr
allmode rptr base (using my ACC Shackmaster 100 and TS680)....
now working DX with a 220 or 440 HT is fun!! working 6 when the band is
open thru a rmt allows folks in TV2 areas to avoid TVI at home (and we
all know how important that is!!! ;)

But NO rptr output should be on 52.525.....especially an IN BAND rptr on
6... xband rptrs should not be placed there either....simplex links
(with NO squelch tail and the rcv hears as good as the XMTR talks) is
ok....but many of them have 100+ xmtrs but rcvr NOISE up the
ying-yang....which makes them alligators...(and we all hate that! ;)

Common sense seems to go out the window when Ego is involved..
