[30m] Net Details

    Hi Jason, well good. Let me suggest this: Select your net controls 
with an eye towards the areas they can cover. Have a weekly message that 
is sent to all net controls who will send it to members that check in. 
And have the nets on the same frequency at different times. I would try 
holding the East Coast net first and the West Coast last.

    Give the time of each net in GMT so each member can get the real 
local time, or if they are like me I have both clocks in the ham shack 
:-)  Members can and should listen to each net and if they hear one 
well, check in even if it's not your closest net control.

    For example it's 5 hours correction to GMT on the East Coast. If we 
start that net at 7 PM local time that will be 1900 EST + 5 = 2400 GMT. 
In the Central Time zone 7PM is 1900 CST +6 = 0100 GMT. 7PM local in 
California is 1900 PST which is 1900 PST +8 = 2700 = 0300GMT.

    So if we say the nets start at 7PM local time across the country, 
they will be staggered in time. I left out the MST because we have few 
Hams and can just find the net we hear well, with three to choose from.  
To each member the first few nets listen to at least two net controls to 
find out which is best.

    This is just a basic idea how it will work. Much more planning is 
needed.
