Hello Juergen,
I run an older FT1000 MP with a Signalink USB also, the practical connection
is to have the Signalink connected to the rear packet socket on the MP, as
standard this accepts FM etc.

There is a minor menu combination to use to get the MP looking for SSB when
the USER button is selected, this gets the MP to see SSB on that socket! Ill
cut a paste the instruction's I have used as it came from an Italian Amateur
and it works fine for me.

USING FT1000MP on DIGI Modes & Gen Coverage

I'm not an MP user, I've been an MK-V for a while but the two rtx are
similar.

BTW, reading mp user manual :

RTTY port on the 1000mp is for FSK in (and bf out).
You must use PACKET port which is for AFSK modes in, pin 1(and bf out on pin
2), ground on pin 4.

PTT can go on Packet (pin 3) or Rtty, doesn't matter ( lines are parallel
inside).

As mode, I suggest to use USER mode (under packet button), see page 63 and
91 of mp giude (menu 8-6).

You may experiment starting with :
Display offset = 0
Rx Pll = +1500 hz orig –1.900
Rx Carrier = 453.5 Mhz orig 456.900
Tx offset = +1500 hz orig –1.900
Tx Carrier = 453.5 Mhz orig 456.900
(note that your audio passband will be at 1500 for dm center).

Filters : whatever, you have a great choice with the MP.

Hope this can help a little bit.
See you,

A local ham recently got the Mic connector cable for his MP and although no
menu settings need changing when that cable is used it is a lot of hassle
unless you have a switch box as he is not too active on Digi because of
this. Welcome back to Digi I was active with my Kam when I was living in
Canada and just recently got back on Digi about 2 years also, have fun and
enjoy it, remember the mode limitation is in the software!! I am using MixW
a demo version is available online.
