Dear Ray KB5DO:     No.  He is only asserting (pressing) the tuner buton 
once and that turns on the light associated with the tuner.

If you mean by keeping the tuner asserted you mean he is pushing the tuner 
button, he is headed for big repair bill.  The tuners are fragile and 
expensive.  I know this personnaly. HA  73  Ray
