[1000mp] Intermittent return to receive

Hello to all-- I have had my mp for just over a year and it is the best I have ever owned, unfortuneately a minor problem has stuck its head up, recently when returning to receive, in SSB mode, the sound does not return ( no output noted ), a quick keying of the PTT returns to normal receive, any and all help would be greatly appreciated THANKS W2FC Fred ( email address good on QRZ )
