[1000mp] VFO Dial

Attempted to take the VFO dial off today, and adjust the tension.  Adjusting
the spring made little difference to the dial tension however I have managed
to loosen off the spindle, which now has a lot of sideways play, and when I
reattach the VFO knob, it turns (left or right) until settled, I assume due
to the sideways play on the spindle.

How can I return this to its original status?
