[1000mp] FT-1000 with Heil PR-40

i think the pr40 is way overkill for ssb.  a mic that is almost 18Khz 
wide for a 3khz wide Field (at the widest using the dsp)?  let's start 
doing some thinking.  can you even hear any sounds above 6KHz let alone 
voice any?   I think any vocal dynamic mic like a Shure sm58 would be 
good enough.

   the compressor in the Field and D is excellent---no need for the IHY 
compressor.

disclosure:   i've never owned a pr40; never used one.
