AW: [1000mp] FT-1000 with Heil PR-40

Well I have the same setup here...Ft1000D...the one and only...and the Ft
1000 MK5 Field. I have several Heil microphones and some original YAESU
MD100 and 200. Over all... The best combo is the FT1000 MK5 with the Heil
PR40 and the W2IHY Eqplus. Specially the Eqplus is the best tool of ham
accessory I ever owned. That is the combo for audio freaks.This small box
gives the best "push" into the radio. 
The Ft1000D does not sound so good with the PR40/Eqplus combo. FT1000D works
best with the Heil headset. I also have the HM10 with selectable HC4 and HC5
microphone. Sounds good for DX... But that`s it.
No need to say that all this does not work very well for enhanced audio with
FT 857 and 897. They are too narrow with the filters. I tried the PR40 for
joke with the Eqplus on the old Ft-One and even with Ft 225 on 2m.... Great!

Okay... Waiting a few days a the story will continue with the Ft 2000. 
I am open to give you a life impression on 18 or 14 MHz. It should work from
PA-land to Munich

Hello,

At this moment I use the FT-1000D and the FT-1000MP Mark-V Field, together
with the Heil Goldline Presentation.

I am however very interested in the Heil PR-40. Who has some experience with
this microphone and can give me a review, in combination with the 1000D or
Field.

The audio response of the PR-40 is 28 till 18,000 Hz. Would this be a bit
too wide for normal SSB purposes?
