[1000mp] Display concerns

I have both a FT1000MP and a mark 5 Field, the Mp is not used too often and the longer it is off the longer it takes the display to light, sometimes over 1 minute, they use I believe, a DC- to DC converter and appanently the oscilator is slow to take off-30 volts I believe is the voltage thats required to illuminate the display, pain in the butt but it always lights.
