[1000mp] Display concerns

My 1000 MP has similar display characteristics, slow start.
Long time ago I looked at the schematic. If I am not mistaken, the supply
to the display module has a series NTC thermistor in series. As the
thermistor
heats up, the resistance drops and the display gets brighter.
I will look at the schematic again to confirm that this is indeed the case.

I have both a FT1000MP and a mark 5 Field, the Mp is not used too often and
the longer it is off the longer it takes the display to light, sometimes
over 1 minute, they use I believe, a DC- to DC converter and appanently the
oscilator is slow to take off-30 volts I believe is the voltage thats
required to illuminate the display, pain in the butt but it always lights.
