AFSK can be used with the FT-1000MP, Mark V and Field with no
difficulty, frequency offset and no "split mode." Set the
Menu as follows:

   6-4 PAc-FdSP -2.210
   6-5 PAc-tonE 2210

These are a compromise for RTTY and PSK ... the optimal tone
in PSK will be 2210 Hz. All of the filters will will work
properly and be centered for 2125/2295 (170 Hz shift) RTTY.
The display will show the center freqeunce instead of Mark.

If you do not care about PSK, simply adjust 6-4 to -2.215
and the display will show the MARK freqeuncey just like FSK
(RTTY).

Note: both the RTTY and PKT settings are LSB. Your RTTY software
should be set for LSB (mark is the lower audio tone).

For those using other tones, 6-4 is -(mark+space)/2 in KHz
and 6-5 is (mark+space)/2 in Hz.
