[1000mp] FT-1000MKV Field Discontinued??

For contest work the MKV or MKv/field with the INRAD roofing filter  
would be an excellent choice.  I have to agree with Rob, the new FT2K  
will be a bunch more digital like the 756Pro series relying on  
digital filters rather than the mechanical.  My guess is it's less  
cost to MFG, but performance is still questionable in the contest  
environment.  I would also expect the Icom 756 PIII to take a price  
drop before too long.
