Kinda' agree..the 232 was a box built for another purpose....although I do 
not consider the PK232 as "no longer even a reasonable performer."...

I've been using a pair of 232's for years...and still do. I've found them to 
be very responsive and, in fact,  I find them to be on par with 
MMTTY...These 232's have worked all but 4 countries!...

As for hooking it up, just use the FSK output and plug it into the RTTY 
input of the MP...also, I use the PTT...

Using the FSK, you can use the tight 250 filter in the MP (if so 
equipped)...great for noisy bands...

So, don't throw away the PK232's just yet!...especially for BAUDOT RTTY...
