[1000mp] Problem with my FT-1000MP

I am using a FT-1000MP for about five years, mainly on CW; I installed the 
YF-114CN 250 HZ filter since I bought the rig.  Starting about ayear ago, 
the rig developed a problem: when moving the main dial, either way, it 
sounds like scratches, either way, and sometimes, it stops transmitting and 
receiving for a few minutes; the dial of the sub-receiver is not affected. 
Then the problem disappears and the transceiver works OK for several days or 
weeks.

Last year I sent it to Yaesu Calif. twice and they could not find anything, 
even when they had the transceiver on for several weeks.

It is very difficult to locate the problem because it is highly intermitent, 
and has happened to me only on CW.

The main dial mechanism was also reviewed and it appears OK.

Any suggestions?
