[1000mp] Problem with my FT-1000MP

I am using a FT-1000MP for about five years, 90% on CW, and installed the 
YF-114CN (250 HZ filter) since I bought the rig. Since about a year ago, it 
started to develop a problem: when moving the main dial, it starts to sound 
like scratches, either way, and sometimes, it stops transmitting and 
receiving for a few seconds. This problem disappears and the transceiver 
works OK for several days or weeks. The dial of the sub-receiver is not 
affected.

Last year and sent it to Yaesu California twice, and there they could not 
find anything during several weeks.

It is very difficult to locate the problem because it is highly intermitent, 
and has happened to me only on CW (perhaps a cold solder joint somewhere).

The main dial mechanism was also reviewed and it appears ok.

Any suggestions?
