[1000mp] Remote Operation

I have Ham Radio Deluxe operating so that it can control my Mark V over the
internet; now I just have to get the audio running between the local host
computer and the radio (I will use Skype between the remote computer and the
local host computer). I have a Signa-Link SL-1+ that has been happily
interfacing audio between the AFSK port on the radio and the puter for some
time for sound card digital modes, but the AFSK port only seems to let the
Signa-Link switch to transmit when I have the radio in packet mode, and of
course I don't want the packet mode filtering when I really want to be in
SSB. 

So I thought I might just shift the Signa-Link to the DVS-2 plug but I can't
find anything on the DVS-2 signal levels.

Then I thought maybe someone has already been down this road that can help
me out. (I hate to have to try and re-invent the wheel...)
