[1000mp] New to the list and INRAD question

I sensed that the IMD went down after I put the roofing filter in. Tuning
across the bands sounded cleaner. I also hear stations as well or better
than anyone else when I'm on a net with after allowing for my simpler
antenna (vertical vs beams).

I also added the INRAD 2.1 Khz SSB filters and - while I'm usually content
to listen with the Yaesu 2.4 Khz filters, I sense that the INRAD filters
will help when the bands are crowded.

Subject: [1000mp] New to the list and INRAD question

I am new to this list as I just bought a used FT1000MP today. Hope it will
be delivered friday so I have the weekend to play with it, and am really
looking forward to it. It looks like a top of the line HF rig.

Does the INRAD roofing filter really increase the receive performance of
this rig? The reviews I have read from QST and Radcomm seem to indicate so,
but would like to hear some actual experiences with it.
