[1000mp] Any 'smaller' substitution for 1000MP ?

Alex,
I believe you are not a contester.
Find yourself a used IC746 with narrow filters - it works just fine.
Can be found used for less than $800. or $900 with filters.
Very good RX.
Compact.
No key-clicks. Lots of menu choices.
Plus you have 6 meters and 2 meters.

Plus - you will please your XYL (if ever possible!).
