[1000mp] RE: QSK ?

Tod,

I use my FT1000MP all the time in "full-breakin" mode. I have noticed the
pop that you have described. It appears to be worse when I am listening with
the wide filters(ssb), the DSP off and the Clarifier off.

I usually use my 1 K CW filters and EDSP on. This seems to eliminate the
popping most of the time. It also seems that you can vary the "tone of the
pops" with the clarifier.

The settings on 7-1, 7-2, and 7-4 don't seem to have an effect on my radio.
They are set on 12, 36, 16 respectively for whatever that is worth.

Try setting your EDSP Contour to "9 o'clock" and N R to "A" and see if that
has any effect.

Not too scientific, just an observation.

Bill, W5VX
