[1000mp] 9-1 Menu Setting

This has been an interesting discussion. I believe that without the
front-end mod, the recommended setting is somewhere around 12-13. I seem =
to
remember that there had been a discussion by some of the more =
knowledgeable
folk on this reflector that led me to believe that 9 was a good setting =
with
the front end mod. I have no measuring equipment so I cannot give you =
any
scientific reasons for my use of that setting. It just seems about right
when I listen to the radio. This probably varies some with the radio. =
Mine,
incidentally, is a 4 year old 1000MP. =20
Remember that the 8-4 setting of also has a big impact on 80 and 10.
Maybe some of the guys who really know about this might jump in and =
clear up
the issue - better than my "seat of the pants" observations. I notice =
that
both Harry and Randy have had some good information on the topic.
Since this has nothing to do with "Monitor Roughness", I changed the =
topic
to something more appropriate.
