[1000mp] IC-756Pro II Transmitter Issues

There's both a Icom 756 Pro II and a Yaesu 1000mp Mark 5 in my shack and 
both are fine radios.

I used the FT-101-ee & zd series in years past. More recently I've used the 
IC-746, IC-775, IC-756 Pro and now the IC-756 Pro II with no problems. All 
have served me well.

I find the Mark 5 to be a complex radio requiring a lengthy learning curve 
while the Icom's tend to be more intuitive. What disturbs me most is the 
inordinate number of mods that the Mark 5 requires to correct deficiencies 
as reported on this reflector. Had I known of those costs in addition to 
the cost of filters, I might have held onto my IC-775.
