[1000mp] 1000MP Dead Receiver

One of the 1000MPs that I use (serial # 5L040237), has no receive between
6.5 and 12.0 MHz on the main receiver.  

 

The MAIN receiver is dead, but the sub-receiver can receive fine if I first
tune the main receiver to just below 6.5MHz, press A>B, and then tune above
6.5MHz on sub VFO-B ; the ATT switch works on the sub-receiver so I presume
(?) its' not a front-end burn-out?

 

My usual "radio repairman" will not be able to take this on for at least six
weeks, so I need some URGENT help here!
