[1000mp] Roofing Filters

Long thread... Here is my two cents.  I am interested primarily in CW.  The
selectivity I need on cw can be achieved with filters, for the most part.
It would be nice to have a tight roofing filter but I am not prepared to
give up my IF Mod in that slot.



Some have said that a few db cannot be heard.  When those few db are the
difference between the signal and the noise level they make all the
difference in the world.  The IF Mod gives me those few db right at the
noise level. Even one db above the noise is good and usable.
