Have you figured out what is going on?

I have your exact same setup, but my Mark-V/Quadra/FTV-1000 works fine.  I 
power up the FP-29 Power Supply, the Mark-V, Quadra, and then the FTV-1000.  Set 
the frequency on the Mark-V to 28.00000Mhz.  Go to Menu 3-3 and set it for 50 
(Mhz).  I then can enter say 28.125 to set the equipment up for 50.125Mhz, 
and everything works fine... and you say when you place the Quadra into OPERATE, 
you get an #1008 error message?
