K6SE's steps to put the rig in split mode for contest running:

1) Find a clear(?) freq on the main VFO
2) Push A>B (or SPLIT if menu 8-2 = "A=B")
3) Push either red tx LED (to tx on VFO B).
4) Run 'em.

If menu item 8-2 is  set to "A=B", step 3 above is not needed because
pressing SPLIT automatically sets VFO B to TX with zero offset.

Why would you want to use dual receive when running?
