If I want to search for mults while I'm running, I just use the main
receiver.  After all, it's already the "receive" receiver, and it's a
much better receiver than the sub receiver and it has the full range of
switchable filters in it.  If I find a new mult I want to call, all I
have to to is hit either red tx LED to switch to simplex on the main VFO.

I never activate the green receive LED on the sub receiver during a
contest, BTW.

Try it, you'll like it.
