[1000mp] Fast AGC action

I've owned two MP's and have seen the same strange behavior of the fast AGC
on both units. What puzzles me is that I've never heard any other MP owner
ever voice a similar observation, yet it's been glaringly obvious to me -
especially in contest situations.

I'd appreciate hearing from any other MP owners who have also noticed (at
least occasionally) unusually slow release of the fast AGC, especially
noticed in recovery from strong signal bursts or in recovery from your own
qsk xmsn. Slow AGC releases quicker than the fast AGC in these cases.

Another sign I notice which I feel may be related, is if I repeatedly flip
between bands while watching the S meter, after a band change the S meter
often pegs and slowly releases if the AGC is set "fast". Repeating the
experiment with "slow" AGC, shows the S meter almost perfectly constant with
band changes and never shows this "pegging" behavior.

Again, I'd appreciate hearing from anyone who also notices similar behavior
of the fast AGC in their MP's or tries the band flipping test and notices
the same thing.

Thanks & 73,
Barry N1EU
