Yes, use a solution of warm water and a tiny bit of dish soap (one drop per 8 
oz).  First blow off radio with compressed air.  Then use tooth brush and dip 
in soapy solution and gently scrub radio.  Dry with bath towel when done.  I 
have used this on FT 736 and various antique radios with lots of success.   
Use this solution to wash windows as well and save your money on the glass 
cleaner.
