Fred,

I agree with everything you pointed out, however I have also noted the pop
is present  when in the normal semi-break-in mode (not QSK).  When I select
a 2.0k filter the pop is very low and in the background noise, at 500 it
starts to show up and at 250 filter it becomes very loud.  I did, as you
recommend, along time ago set my menu 7-5 to around 20ms because of the
amplifier switch time and even now do not hear the pop when returning to
receive while in the QSK mode.  Very smooth QSK transition from transmit to
receive regardless of filter selection.  When in semi keying mode the pop
sound increases as filter selection gets narrow.  Menu 7-4 or 7-5 seem to
have no impact on the sound.  Both observations are with the monitor button
in the off position, vox depressed in the semi mode and in the off position
while in QSK.

PS - I have the key click mod from INRAD and am very happy with the results.
