[1000mp] Mark V Sensitivity and DSP

I have to disagree with some of the other replies. I find the DSP to be
useful
on SSB as well as CW. I usually have the noise reduction set to 'A' at all
times
on SSB and sometimes set it to 'B' in difficult situations. I'm also active
on
satellites and use my 1000mp as a downlink receiver for the AO40 satellite.
The
noise reduction set to 'B' takes out the noise on the downlink signal
completely
making the SSB signals, that would be a struggle to hear, easy copy.

Thanks for the replies. I too have see better performance on CW with the
contour settings. Seeing I'm on CW about 25% of the time and SSB the rest,
SSB is where I would like the DSP to perform a little better. I have an
opportunity to do a side by side test with a TS-950SDX this weekend. I'll
let you know the results. As always, any comments/help is greatly
appreciated!

Thanks Again,

Joe
